By a staff reporter SHARJAH - The number of Emirati nationals working in banks has increased from 1,278 in 1997 to 8,712 by the end of last year, Ahmed Humaid Ai Tayer, Chairman of the Human Resources Development Committee in the banking and financial sector. said yesterday. In the first half of last year, 29 per cent of the total workforce in the banking sector were UAE nationals. The inaugration ceremony for the four-day exhibition was also attended by Sail AI Midfa, Director General of the Expo Centre Sharjah, directors of various government departments and members of the diplomatic corps and trade associations. |
