DUBAI - Habib Bank AG Zurich (HBZ), one of the leading international banks operating in the United Arab Emirates, yesterday launched their new Etisalat payment methods for all HBZ customers who have fixed, mobile, Internet or Wasel telephone lines from Etisalat. The new HBZ Etisalat services have been introduced to enable multiple types of payments and in a more convenient manner and includes HBZweb - Internet banking, HBZpda - Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) and Java enabled mobile phones. Apart from this, there will be the facility of automated telephone banking and all these services are also available for customers visiting any of the HBZ branches during normal working hours. Amer Farid, assistant vice president, Habib Bank AG Zurich said, "Increased service to our customers is paramount in our minds. As the population in the region becomes more connected, we try to help to make communications as simple as possible - in this case offering a quicker and more convenient payment method to Etisalat customers."

The advantages of these new services are, Payment of Etisalat bills and Wasel renewal/recharge over every HBZ banking platform (Internet, PDA, ATM, telephone banking and in branches). Wasel recharge customers get 10 percent extra talk time and due to the new technology being used, payments are made in real time, and updated on an online basis.
